In my previous blog post titled “Do You Suffer from Hormone Imbalances?”, I shared my long journey through various symptoms and the challenges I faced in identifying the underlying issues. One key change that made a significant difference in my well-being was altering my nutrition, particularly through a practice called seed rotation. This simple yet effective method helped me restore balance to my hormones and significantly boosted my energy levels. Many clients have also gone on to add seed rotation to their daily nutrition and have seen some great results including regular periods, less mood swings, more energy, fertility plus more.

What is Seed Rotation?
Seed rotation involves incorporating specific seeds into your diet in a structured way throughout your menstrual cycle. Research indicates that this practice can help regulate hormonal levels and support a healthy menstrual cycle. Since I began seed rotation, I have experienced a more consistent cycle, a notable reduction in PMS symptoms, and an overall improvement in my energy.
How to Implement Seed Rotation
Here’s a straightforward guide on how to incorporate seed rotation into your daily routine:
Days 1-14 of your cycle: Consume one tablespoon daily of flaxseeds and pumpkin seeds. This phase helps to naturally increase estrogen levels.
Days 15-28 of your cycle: Switch to one tablespoon daily of sesame seeds and sunflower seeds. This transition supports progesterone production.
It’s that simple!
Ways to Enjoy Seeds
There are numerous ways to include these seeds in your diet. Personally, I love adding them to a yogurt and fruit bowl, which can serve as breakfast, lunch, or even a satisfying snack. Occasionally, I’ll enjoy this dish for dinner as well. Others might prefer adding seeds to smoothies or salads for added texture and nutrition. The key is to find a method that you enjoy and can easily incorporate into your routine.
Nutritional Benefits
In addition to their hormonal benefits, seeds are rich in fiber, vitamins (including E, B1, and B6), and essential minerals (such as zinc, iron, and magnesium). Thus, even if you're not specifically looking to balance hormones, adding seeds to your diet can greatly enhance your overall nutrition.
