Hormone Balancing: Pumpkin Soup Recipe Ingredients
Give this hormone balancing pumpkin soup recipe a go!
2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
1kg of Pumpkin
1kg of Squash
1 Yellow Onion, finely chopped
6 Garlic Gloves, minced
1 Teaspoon of Salt
1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon of Nutmeg
1 Teaspoon of Black Pepper
Tiny dash of Cayenne Pepper
4 cups of homemade broth (see recipe here)
1/2 cup of Full Fat Coconut Milk
1 Tablespoon of Honey
Hormone Balancing: Pumpkin Soup Recipe Directions
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Cut pumpkin and squash (scoop out seeds) and place on baking paper and baking tray in oven to cook for 35 minutes. Set aside to cool for 5-10 minutes.
Heat olive oil in large pot. Once oil is simmering add onion, garlic and salt. Stir. Cook for 5-8 minutes.
Peel the pumpkin skin off pumpkin and squash and add to pot.
Add cinnamon, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, black pepper and stir.
Pour in broth. Bring mixture to a boil and let simmer for 15 minutes.
Add coconut milk and honey.
Take off stove and blend using an immersion blender.
And it's ready. WOOP. This Pumpkin Soup Recipe is of my FAVOURITE recipes for this time of year. It's easy, delicious and great for balancing hormones. I've already made it THREE times.
